Client Testimonials
Lagunas de Ruidera is an oasis in the heartland of Spain.
The nature is wonderful, the village offers the best of Spanish rural atmosphere, the waters are exceptional, and the fishing is among the most exiting in Europe; especially the big Comizo Barbel, which I rate as Europe’s number 1 freshwater trophy fish.
I have been there more than 10 times, and I expect to go many more...

Lagunas de Ruidera is in my opinion one of the nicest places for serious fishing in all Europe.
The wonderful crystal clear lagunas, the waterfalls, and of course the magic and migthy Comizo Barbel are absolutely fantastic!

Peter Can not do enough for you! His experience with carp and barbel is well known and he lives up to his billing! The quality of the fishing and the condition of the fish are hard to beat.

If you’re one of these guys who suffer from a passion of angling than there is no better place to live out your passion than the Lagunas de Ruidera. We had a great fishing trip with Peter.
Apart from the elusive Comizos and Carps which can be caught the surroundings are astonishing and breathtaking. We’ve been on a lot of guided fishing trips but we can’t remember one which is comparable to this one.
Don’t miss the delicious Paella delivered directly to your bivvie. We will always keep this fishing holiday in our minds. It was just perfect! We will come back.

I have fished the lakes at Ruidera & had a fabulous time. Peter is an excellent guide who will make every effort to put you onto specimen fish with his intimate knowledge of the lakes and lagoons.
The equipment provided is first class and Peter's advice is always available.
The Ruidera area is wild and rugged with magnificent scenery to enhance your fishing experience.

I have been on six trips with Peter so far and am returning to Ruidera in the autumn.
The trips have been primarily fishing trips but I have appreciated seeing the large range of birds such as Imperial Eagles, vultures and other raptors. Also have seen other birds such as orioles, bee eaters azure winged magpies, shrikes and blue rock thrushes.
Peter has always taken great pains to meet his guests and look after their needs.
Ruidera has some great restaurants, friendly locals and fantastic scenery and wildlife. There are endless opportunities for photographers.
Five stars at least!
